Over the years I have worked in various industries, which would lend themselves to me being called upon to help out at family and friend`s weddings. I have trained as a florist and make-up artist, and worked in events management,catering and housekeeping. Then I had the privilege of planning my daughter`s wedding (left) and for the first time I saw things from a different perspective. I realised that we were putting our time (nearly 2 and a half years planning) and trust in a lot of different suppliers and companies and expecting them all to come together on the day without any oversight, management or co-ordination. The reception venue had an on site "wedding co-ordinator" but on enquiring further we found that like most venues she simply took the details and the booking, dealt with queries then on the day would not even be there but would hand everything over to an events manager. Basically they oversee everything provided by the hotel but not other suppliers. They wouldn`t be covering all the little details and table decor that we had carefully planned. It was then that I decided to use my experience and first hand knowledge to create a more comprehensive service that would cover every aspect of the whole day. Every wedding - while having the same basic elements - is totally unique in the detail and requirements.
